Terms of Use

Last updated · 6 June 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Maxmed iOS app ("Maxmed"). By downloading or using Maxmed you agree to these Terms and to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies in addition to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Not medical advice. Maxmed is a language-learning tool. Its content teaches medical English — vocabulary, pronunciation, and phrasing — and is not clinical guidance. Nothing in Maxmed is a substitute for professional medical training, judgment, or the standards and protocols of your institution. Do not rely on Maxmed for diagnosis, treatment, or patient care decisions.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Maxmed on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial learning, subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA.

Maxmed Pro subscription

Maxmed offers an auto-renewable subscription, Maxmed Pro, which unlocks the full deck library and Pro features as described in the app.

Payments and refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; we cannot issue refunds directly. To request one, use reportaproblem.apple.com.

AI-generated content

Maxmed may offer features that generate study cards from text you provide. Generated content can contain errors and must be reviewed by you before you rely on it. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any content you generate, import, or study.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute Maxmed or its content, attempt to circumvent purchase or usage limits, or use the app in any unlawful way.

Intellectual property

Maxmed, its brand, design, and curated content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms grant you no ownership of them.

Disclaimer of warranties

Maxmed is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is complete or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, Maxmed. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You may stop using Maxmed and delete it at any time. We may suspend or end the service or these Terms if you breach them or as required by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer of Maxmed is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is always posted here with the date above; continued use after a change means you accept it.
